Norplex-Micarta Invests in State-of-the-Art Dielectric Test Equipment

Norplex-Micarta has recently invested in new state-of-the-art dielectric test equipment for its in-house material testing laboratory. As part of its 1.5 million dollar capital growth expenditure over recent months, the company has installed the test system to measure dielectric properties in composites used for electrical insulation applications, and determine the voltage intensity a material can be exposed to before it begins to break down. Norplex-Micarta Announces Micro ID Tubing for High Performance Applications
Norplex-Micarta announces the availability of Micro ID convolute tubing materials. Micro ID tubing is ideal for such high performance applications as extra-fine bearings in the electrical market and insulation and support components in the LNG market. Inside diameters for Micro ID tubing range from 0.094″ – 0.187″ and outside diameters range from 0.156″ – 0.500″. Norplex-Micarta normally delivers all Micro ID tubing products within two to three weeks of receipt of order. Click here to read the full press release.

Norplex-Micarta Invests in Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer Equipment
Norplex-Micarta has recently installed a Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer (DMA), used to measure the flexural strength of a material at high temperatures and test material prior to shipping. The testing will help Norplex-Micarta guarantee that its materials meet customer specifications. Click here to learn more about DMA.

Norplex-Micarta Invests in Thermal Analysis Test Equipment
Norplex-Micarta has recently installed a TA Instruments Model Q20 Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC) at its Postville, Iowa headquarters. The equipment is used to measure the thermal change a material can undergo before it begins to soften, melt, or show other forms of a physical reaction, including phase changes. This upgrade is part of on-going capital expenditure growth intended to advance the use of state-of-the-art equipment for material testing. Click here to continue reading this press release.
